Velora and ParaSwap: names, products and verification

Velora is the current name presented by the project formerly called ParaSwap. That identity continuity helps explain why older articles, API references and contract names still use ParaSwap. It does not make every old link, approval address or feature description current.

The official Velora site points readers toward its trading interface and developer products. Within that ecosystem, Market and Delta are separate execution choices: Market builds a transaction for the user to submit; Delta accepts an intent for settlement agents to execute. A wallet can integrate one product without exposing the other.

What to verify when returning after the rebrand

• Start from the current official site and follow its trading link. A familiar old brand name in an advertisement is insufficient evidence of authenticity.
• Identify whether the quote uses Market or Delta. This determines the transaction or order being authorized.
• Check the chain and spender against the relevant version in the official contract reference.
• Review the current fee and expiry shown by the interface; an old “free trading” description is not a binding current quote.

The contract and chain reference separates Market and Delta deployments. BNB is represented in both, while some other chains have Market without Delta. Thus “Velora supports this network” is only the first eligibility check.

Existing allowances deserve a separate decision. An approval for an older contract may remain onchain even when the new interface requests a different spender. A brand update neither transfers that permission automatically nor proves that retaining it is desirable.

For retail selection, compare the actual Velora mode with the competing interface’s mode. For an application purchase, use the separate API commercial terms: a developer subscription is not the price a retail trader necessarily pays. These distinctions preserve the useful history of ParaSwap without turning historical documentation into a current product promise.
