Choosing a swap API for an integration

Evaluate the operational contract as carefully as the quote.

Updated and sources checked · 29 September 2026

Match the integration model

0x and KyberSwap expose quote and transaction workflows; 1inch also offers intent modes; LI.FI combines routes across bridges and swap providers. Choose based on the action your product must complete.

Write down access conditions

Document API keys, quotas, permitted chains, fee fields and transaction assembly rules. Treat returned spender and execution addresses as distinct roles. Keep secret API credentials on the server.

Test controlled failure

Exercise an unsupported pair, expired quote, provider timeout and rejected transaction. A route being returned does not prove it can execute. Do not turn missing data into a zero fee or a positive availability flag.
